The Board of Directors is comprised of volunteers who live in the surrounding community. They are dedicated business people, parents and sports enthusiasts who believe that CREW is a great asset to the community and are committed to seeing it succeed. The Board meets once a month to discuss everything from daily operations to long term planning. Executive Director:

CREW's Executive Director, Kelly Lilly, was hired in early 2004 to oversee all aspects of the facility. A graduate from Johnson State College, Kelly lives in Stowe with her husband Jim and dog Jasmine. Prior to being a part of the CREW team, Kelly worked in sports marketing doing consulting work for Fortune 500 companies. Bringing that knowledge to CREW has allowed Kelly to create numerous programs for youth and adults, manage the daily operations of the facility and help create teh long term vision for CREW. You can usually find Kelly and Jasmine in the office at CREW so stop in and say hello next time you are here.

A Brief History of CREW:

The first unofficial CREW meeting was held in January of 1998. Over 50 people attended and voiced their ideas on what they felt was needed in the area for recreational facilities. From here a survey was sent to Lamoille County residents and the 1300 that came back showed what people in the area wanted. The number 1 choice was an indoor pool. #2 was ice rink, then indoor soccer, track, fitness center, tennis courts, basketball courts, outdoor trails. The three founding board members John Connell, Eddie Gale and Barb Farr created the Board of Directors and received a $10,000 donation for a feasibility study. 6 years after that first meeting CREW had a building.

Funding came from grants, private donations and major fundraising efforts. The Board of Directors was relentless in pursuing their dream and worked tirelessly until CREW opened its doors in 2004. Even now the current Board works to maintain the facility and continue the vision.
